3 Trees You Need To Have Removed ASAP

About Me
Understanding Tree Service

After struggling for quite some time to make my yard more beautiful, I finally realized that I needed to make a few changes to the trees. We had some really overgrown trees that looked terrible, so I started focusing on honing them carefully. I started working with an arborist to make things better, and it was really incredible to see how those simple changes opened up my yard. Before I knew it, I was getting a little more sun on my flower garden and the different parts of the yard looked healthier. Check out this website to find out how to improve your outdoor space.

3 Trees You Need To Have Removed ASAP

Do you have a tree or two growing on your property? Have you ever considered whether these trees may be a menace or not? Since trees stay in one spot, you don't need to do anything like putting up a "beware of tree" sign in your yard. But this doesn't mean that some trees aren't troublesome. They can be anything from a minor inconvenience to an outright hazard, depending on the type of tree. If you have or suspect you have any of the following trees, then you should definitely consult with a professional as soon as possible:

Willow:

Willows can be lovely to look at, but they are deceptively hazardous in a variety of ways. They have exceptionally long root systems that seek out any sources of water, no matter how relatively minor. This means that they are often culprits in destroying sewer lines or water mains. Willow wood is also known for being soft. This softness can allow the tree to bend, but it can also snap with high winds, possibly causing damage to your home. The best way to deal with this situation is to have a tree service cut down the willow as soon as possible in order to prevent any damage.

Pear:

Regular pear trees can be great, especially if you get fruit from them on a regular basis. But there is a type of ornamental pear that will never produce any edible fruit and will stink up your whole neighborhood. Called a Bradford or Callery pear tree, these trees look lovely in the spring but have a smell that some people describe as smelling like wet dog, fish, or various other bad odors. Because it's a tree and trees aren't expected to smell bad, people often look elsewhere for the source of the smell even when it's staring them right in the face. In addition, the small fruits that the tree does produce will need to be raked up and thrown away due to their inedibility. A competent tree service can identify this type of tree and get rid of it for you so you no longer have to deal with its downsides.

Silver maple:

Some trees are prized by homeowners for growing fast and providing shade to the house; silver maples are one such species. Unfortunately, this fast growth makes the wood even more brittle than that of the previously mentioned willow trees. This fact makes large silver maple trees a credible danger to your house. A storm that other trees might be able to weather just fine can send silver maple limbs crashing into your roof or siding. Consult with a tree service professional to find out if any of the trees growing on your property pose this hazard and have them removed promptly if they do.
